Free QR Code Generator
Create a QR code for a website, WhatsApp chat, Wi-Fi network, UPI payment, contact card, email, phone number, SMS, map location or plain text. Add your logo and brand colours, then download a high-resolution PNG, SVG or JPG. Free, no sign-up, and your codes never expire.
How to create a QR code in four steps
Making a custom QR code takes less than a minute, on your phone or your computer.
Choose what it should do
Pick a type: open a website, start a WhatsApp chat, join Wi-Fi, accept a UPI payment, save a contact card and more.
Add your details
Type the link, number, network or contact details. The QR code updates live as you type.
Make it yours
Choose your colours, a square, rounded or dotted pattern, the corner style, and add your logo in the centre.
Download and print
Download a PNG up to 4096 pixels, a scalable SVG for print, or a JPG. Test-scan it with your phone before you print.
What you can do with a free QR code
One small square can save your customers typing, searching and waiting. Here are the most popular uses.
Restaurant menus and table cards
Link to your online menu, reviews page or ordering site so guests can browse from their table.
UPI payment QR for your shop
Let customers pay with Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm or any UPI app. Add a fixed amount and note for invoices, or leave the amount open.
Wi-Fi access for guests
Guests scan once and join your network, with no spelling out long passwords at the counter.
WhatsApp chat for enquiries
Put a WhatsApp QR on packaging, flyers and shop windows so customers can message you instantly with a pre-filled note.
Digital business cards
A contact-card QR saves your name, phone, email, company and website straight into someone's phone.
Flyers, posters and packaging
Send people from print to your website, offer page, app store listing, location or review page.
Why choose this QR code generator
Never expires
These are static QR codes: the content lives inside the code, so it keeps working forever with no subscription.
Private by design
Codes are created in your browser. Nothing you type, including Wi-Fi passwords, is sent to a server.
Your brand, your style
Custom colours, patterns, corner styles and your logo, with automatic error correction so it still scans.
Print-ready files
Download a vector SVG that stays sharp at any size, or a high-resolution PNG up to 4096 × 4096 pixels.
Tips for a QR code that always scans
- Keep strong contrast: a dark code on a light background scans best.
- Leave the white margin (quiet zone) around the code; don't crop it.
- Print it at least 2 × 2 cm, and bigger for posters people scan from a distance.
- Keep links short: shorter content makes a simpler code that scans faster.
- When you add a logo, keep it small; error correction is set to High automatically.
- Always test-scan with two different phones before printing in bulk.
QR code generator: common questions
Is this QR code generator really free?
Yes. Create and download as many QR codes as you like with no sign-up, no watermark and no subscription.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They are static QR codes: the website, Wi-Fi details or contact card are stored inside the code itself, so they keep working for as long as the destination exists.
Can I add my logo to a QR code?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG logo and it is placed in the centre. Error correction switches to High automatically so the code can still be read with part of it covered.
How do I make a UPI payment QR code?
Choose UPI payment, enter your UPI ID and payee name, and optionally a fixed amount and note. Customers can scan it with Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM or any UPI app. Always test it with a small payment first.
How do I create a Wi-Fi QR code?
Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name and password and pick the security type. When guests scan it, their phone offers to join the network. Your password never leaves your browser.
How do I make a WhatsApp QR code?
Choose WhatsApp, enter your number with the country code and an optional pre-filled message. Scanning opens a chat with you in WhatsApp.
Which file format should I download?
Use SVG for printing and design tools because it stays sharp at any size. Use PNG for websites, documents and social media, and JPG when a platform doesn't accept PNG.
What size should I print a QR code?
At least 2 × 2 cm for cards and labels. A good rule is to make the code about one tenth of the scanning distance, so a poster read from 2 metres needs a code around 20 cm wide.
What is error correction?
It lets a QR code still scan when part of it is dirty, damaged or covered by a logo. Low recovers about 7% of the code and High about 30%. Higher levels make the code a little denser.
Is my information private?
Yes. Everything is generated in your browser, so links, passwords and contact details aren't uploaded or stored anywhere.
